Turbocharge your Martin 16 with our new M16 turbo kit — a masthead, asymmetrical spinnaker that more than doubles the standard Martin 16 sail area. The M16 turbo kit adds power to your Martin 16 for sailing off the wind, especially in light to medium winds. The spinnaker pushes the boat to hull speed in as little as an 8-knot breeze, and introduces the excitement and tactical trade-offs of gybing downwind.
Easy to handle control lines for the spinnaker are led to convenient locations in the M16 cockpit. A skiff-style “one-line” halyard/pole launch system makes hoisting and setting the spinnaker simple: just pull it until it stops, and hang on. In competition, the crew flies the spinnaker. When you’re out by yourself — just having fun — the spinnaker can be safely launched and flown single-handed.
